Challenge 2 - Notes on 2020 data
It does appear 2020 data is lacking in both CMC and CBP databases across the water quality datasets (likely due to COVID-19 affecting data collection across the board). Given we want to identify gaps, is it completely ludicrous to exclude the 2020 data given that some collection teams may operate in a limited capacity or none at all?

Only about 6k data points in 2020 vs. 60k+ in 2019: https://imgur.com/a/NT8BHiS

Hi Richard,
There are likely fewer data points for two big reasons; 1) Covid knocked out a lot of our monitoring since March, when we usually encourage people to monitor more. and 2) a lot of groups upload their data at the end of the calendar year as opposed to adding as they collect the data-- so we might have more data from 2020, but not until December or next January.
I hope that helps!

I think it would be okay to exclude 2020 data as it is definitely incomplete.
